T. Doug Allen for House District 7

Doug Allen is a Conservative Republican and 22 year resident of Labette County.

Brief background:

  • Four years as Labette County Commissioner

  • 32 Years practicing Attorney

  • 13 years as a police officer in Los Angeles County, achieved the rank of Captain

  • Four sons, two of which attended Labette County High School, and subsequently graduated from college in Kansas; older sons graduated college in California and both achieved advanced degrees.

  • My lovely wife, Anne, who passed away last fall, was a KU graduate, had an MS in reading from CSU and served as the Director of the Parsons Area Community Foundation for more than a decade.

Basic Issues:

  • Freeze Property Tax for homeowners at age 65

  • Totally re-examine the entire property tax structure and massive overhead to simplify the overly complex system, and end never ending reappraisals with a maximum 2 or 3% increase.

  • Make Kansas more Business and Retiree friendly.
